  1. I know i am gonna get flamed for saying this but, i have had really bad experience with the 3m bras. I used them on my bike and on my last car. they work great for chips, but as for the edges, they tend to come up if you live in a very hot climate where it is humid and rains a lot. Not enough to notice realy but just enough to start getting dust and dirt under. after i removed my bra 2 yrs later. there was a scratch ring around the entire perimeter of the bra. I was very upset. most of the local shops here in OKC stopped using them and installing them. but for rock protection, they work great.

It looks like it would be difficult to do on the IS front end with all the curves. I would just do the front bumper since it has a large flat surface area. What shop here in OKC would you recommend? Thanks a head off time.

  2. yeah if my damn car ever decides to get here. i have the 07 silver/black, hids, premium, nav, spoiler, gonna add xm i think, for 37800 otd. was a 39k car. i am happy with the price. just tired of getting the "well jason, we think it should be here next week. Well jason, if it gets in Louisiana tomorrow or friday we will have it next week probably." bull *BLEEP*. get my car.

You got a great deal considering that cars MSRP is $41,000.

  3.

'06 IS 350 w/premium pack, 18'' wheels for $37,300. I am suppose to take delivery tomorrow. Tried Dallas but was a few hundred $$ more, yet that was with Nav. Dealer here already went all the way to Louisiana and kept reminding me that it's costing him $700, which he did not pass on to me.

Nav for a few hundred more? Nav should be about 2500 more, shouldn't it? Sounds like he's passing the 700 on to you, but not calling it 'shipping' or whatever. What's the sticker on the car? i.e. 37,300 is how much off the sticker?

$1000 off sticker. Let me clarify, the Dallas dealer wanted only 500-600 bucks more with one that had nav. just to get me down there, yet he realy never comitted on an end price. I just didn't want to drive all that way and get hooked for several $100 more.

I bought my IS350 at Sewell in Ft. Worth in April, and they offered me 1800 off sticker to get me to come up. I live about 100 miles south. Of course, it was a bigger sticker - like 42,8xx I think, with the Lux pkg, etc. But, it seems like Lexus has been advertisiing some end of year type event lately, so I would have thought you'd get better than 1000 off of a 2006. Maybe not.

Re-did math, it is about $1,500 off MSRP.

Price sounds ok if you are getting exactly the car the way you want it.

OK w/me, an '07 would be $2000-2500 more and not much diff, also wait a few months. Do not use NAV much and do not like Bluetooh option. The only thing I wpould change are the wheels. I like the ones with several spokes, looks more distinctive.

  6. Picked up my Tungsten Pearl beauty Friday. I traded in my '06 Pontiac Solstice POS for this beauty. This car is amazing. The acceleration, handling, and of course, Lexus attention to craftmanship. Tried to buy local, but ended up driving to Dallas for a hell of a deal.

I will pick up my IS350 this week end here in OKC and I got a decent deal. One test drive and I sold the vette and traded in my RX330. Putting in a K&N kit next week. Good luck.
