I am considering replacing the starter myself on my GS400, is there a guide or manual on how to go about it? and would you recommend an after market starter? Thanks

Guys, I am new at this and recently got a 99' GS400 and would like to upgrade to a staggered set up with 18x8's in the front and 18x8.5's in the rear. I have stock wheels and tires and would like to get better handling with a fairly decent ride. Will this set up get me what I want? Also, is there an offset required? Thanks
