The speaker rubber or paper cone could be cracked. You would probably need to replace it or have it reconed, but reconing... not the best option. Good luck!

I just bought an 02 SC430 (and loving it). One of the bottom 6x9 mid-woofers is busted. I am considering replacing the speakers with an aftermarket speaker as $300.00 for a paper cone seems to me ridiculous. Crutchfield does not have the car's measurements so I was wondering whether anybody has knowledge of whether any speakers might fit without mayor modifications. Or if you know of links to which I could go to and read up on the subject. Thanks! Plistumi
