  1. Go to www.usacomp.com/Offset.htm, it will teach you about offsets. MAKE SURE you know what you are doing before you buy rims. Don't get burned like I did!!! The best thing to do is to take off your OEM rims now, take a straight edge across the back of your rim. Measure the distance from the mounting serface inside the rim to the straight edge. This is your backspace. Make sure your backspace for your new rims are close to the same, otherwise something will be rubbing, etc. A way to fix that problem will be to use slip on wheel spacers (cheap and dangerous-my opinion) or bolt on wheel adapters (expensive- and I had no choice after I purchased rims without knowing what I was doing!). Also, make sure your new rims/tires are approximate to the diameter of your OEM ones, or your ABS, Speedo, etc. will be off. Try www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp?...to look at how much you can screw up tires!!! Good luck!!
  2. :D For Sale: 4 Brand New Chrome OEM (Toyota stamped on the back) 2003 ES300 rims. Also included are 4 Brand New 215/60 VR16 Continental ContiExtremeContact directional tires. TIRES ARE PROFESSIONALLY MOUNTED AND BALANCED TO THE RIMS. I purchased these for the wife, but are unable to use them now. These are all brand new, top quality equipment. Asking $250.00 per rim/tire ($1000 total). Email "happytown@wi.rr.com" for any questions you have.
  3. Anyone ever try the chrome grill modification from AutoGrills.com? They say "each kit consists of chrome slats that fit over your existing stock grille slats. All insert kits include a 3M adhesive backing for easy installation. The plastic material is extremely durable, and resistant to tarnishing"
  4. Thanks!! See, now I can sleep at night. And since I already purchased the chrome rims and tires (pretty stupid to ask these questions AFTER), I feel better. Thanks again for the quick reply! :D
  5. Thanks for the info! Has anyone ever tried putting 02 ES rims on a 97 ES? And where do I find the actual "offset" for the factory 97 and 02 rims anyway?
  6. I have a 2000 GS300 and I want to put the optional 17 inch GS400 rims on it. As far as I know, both the 300 and 400 are the same car except for the engine, so either wheels should work. I just wanted some reassurance. Thanks!
  7. HELP! I just purchased new 02 es300 rims for my 97 es300. The dealer said they would fit, THEY DON"T! What can I do. The 02 rims fit on the rotor too far, causing the tire to hit the strut. Where can I find the offsets for the 97 and the 02 vehilces anyway? Please HELP!!
