Buzz put it mildly. I am tossing mine with a couple thousand miles on them b/c/ they stink in rain, god need have mercy in snow or ice, pound and whine continuously, and finally because with this little mileage the dealer says i need new rims because the low side wall can't absorb the shock of a pothole -- or actuallyan expansion joint in a new tunnel. These tires should be illegal, or at least Lexus ought to pay to replace them if there is anything at all to the "pasionate pursuit of perfection" because they are far from it.

so there has been a lot written about the dreaded potenza run-craps. I need to get rid of mine. At 4000 careful miles, I have a different problem as well, though. My car shimmies, and the dealer just told me the reason is all 4 wheels are bent. I live near Boston where the potholes are legendary, and I just don't think i can keep such low profile tires on this car without ongoing wheel damage. Is there a 17" wheel alternative for this car? Does someone make one that looks good? where would i find it? I'll spend some money, though I've already spent $2500 on 18" wheels and snow tires, since the run-craps were sheer terror in the snow. It really ought to be illegal to sell a car with these wheels/tires in the snow zone? and how do you order the spare tire kit? the lexus dealer told me today that none exists. Thanks.
