  1. There is a second one inside the middle console.
  2. Went to my dealer today. Apparantly I am no crazy and this is an issue that should have been caught in Japan during final QA. The good news is that this is a real quick fix. According to the service mgr, there are a number of alignment screws that can be loosened and the console moved into the correct position (about an hour job). I'll keep you posted after the work has been performed.
  3. Thank you bartkat! I won't stress about it then and mention it to the dealer when I go in next.
  4. Hello all. I pray I don't come across completely anal about this but I wanted to ask all of my fellow IS owners... For the most part, the dash is snug around the center console (with Nav). However on the drivers side there is a gap approx. 3 mil between the console and the dash material. With the light behind me I can even see the "clips" that are used to hold the dash to the console or vice versa. Do some of you have this spacing? Just wondering if it is normal or if I should take it to the dealer and see if they can realign the console so the space is not visible. Even though they are "trained" technicians I'd hate to think of them unscrewing the dash just to move it ever so slightly. Regards
  5. Update** I went to my dealer yesterday to see about this issue. As it turns out, this does look like an item for the Euro market only. On the plus side I suppose I can use those straps to hold down an umbrella. Yet another item I will most likely never use in socal.. :D Thanks to everyone for their input.
  6. Isn't the "Warning Triangle" the little tag you pull if you get locked in the trunk??? It's used to release the trunk lid from the inside... to avoid little ones from being locked inside. No. I do see the emergency release pull-tab but there is a picture in the owners manual that shows a device strapped to the rear of the trunk. I have the straps but not the thing they are supposed to be holding in place.
  7. Hello all. I looked through this forum before purhcasing my 250 about a week ago. All the information helped me make what I felt was an informed buying decision. Now that I have the car, I have a question with my very first post :) While reading through the owners manual I saw that there is something called a "warning triangle". I'm assuming this is something that can be placed on the ground outside of the car in the event you are stopped on the side of the road due to a breakdown or flat. In the trunk of my IS 250 I do have the straps that would be used to secure this item to the vehicle but I am missing the actual item. Can some of you IS owners tell me if you have this item inside your trunk? Thank you.
