Worked for me as well, 2006 IS250 AWD. On the 2nd attempt I made sure to hold down the odometer button immediately after pushing the ignition button twice. That beep was such a pain. It's not that I don't wear my seatbelt, I just put it on after I get out of my driveway
I can't get it to work on my IS350 06, question, do I click the seatbelt while holding the odometer after the 10-30 sec? or do I let go of the odometer at 10-30 sec and then click it?
it doesn't seem to work for me, I tried it a few times.
thanks in advance for any help

thanks, hmmm given that i dont have a navi (friggin thing was not even available with the configuration i wanted). and given that the kit that havoc627 is mentionning is 200-300$ cheaper. I think it makes sence for me to go with a less expensive kit (around 50$). it would be nice to have the radio dimming/pause feature, but 200-300$ is a lot of money. thanks for the info smooth much appreciated!
well if you have an iphone, it'll automaticaly dim the sound anyways, but ya the other kit would be much more convinient if it's an ipod.
do you have to do the navi override for the ipod interface to show up on the screen while you are driving with the vais? I am interested but I wanna know if I need to do the override for it to work while driving, thanks in advance.

mine does the same thing, I am out of warranty so I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to buy the replacement bulbs and a guide to replace it.
thanks.

Yes, the first warning will be there. It's the nagging beep afterwards that keeps on beeping and beeping that this turns off. I can easily live with that.
does anyone knows if this works on the 06 Is350?
-
thanks it looks complicated, I don't even know what I need for my is350. I guess I will look around.
-
Yep. And you have touch screen access if you have the nav option or center console access if you don't via the cd control buttons. It also charges the ipod for you, and it sounds much better than the aux input!
can you point me in the right direction to check this out? does best buy sell it? I have the is350 with mark levinson system would it be compatible?
thanks this is cool, I currently have the charger and the aux cable . yuck.
-
I have the Vaitech. There are a couple of others as well.
does that mean that you can control your ipod with your steering wheel? I am also interested in this, I currently just use an AUX cable on my center console, which other way can you hook it up?

does this work on a 2006?

Thanks, I read all the pages in that thread, but I didn't get my answer I will assume the originals is the best way to go.

Any recommendations on new tires? or should I buy the same that came with the car? I found the originals for $189 if someone is interested.

I usually drive freeway, not much rain here in california or snow.
please advice.
Thanks.

Leatherique here. It is amazing stuff!
Leatherique cleaners and conditioners
No affiliation to the company... I just love the way it works. ;)
I have used this on my leather for the past 2 years and it works fine.

I will try lexol since everyone recommends it.

I just had the F-Sport springs installed. They're much stiffer than stock, and the increased stiffness really shows when going over speed bumps. I haven't had a chance to really push the car yet, but from the few corners I did throw the car through, handling is much better. This is how our cars should have come stock.
how much did you pay for the springs?
thanks.

If you were in Texass I would say this is the norm. Chip repair is all over since insurance is null in this area.
I will try my luck with the aftermarket.
thank you all.

Get it fixed grasshopper.
obviously my question was dealer or the other place.
-
so my windshield broke today while I was driving on the freeway. a small rock hit it and it cracked, I called the dealer and they want $1400. rain sensors and all, I then called this place my brother took his porsche cayman to replace his and they did an excellent job and they quoted me $500.00 with the rain sensor and all.
what should I do?
thanks.

Try a google search for D4S bulbs.
thanks, they have different temperatures and what not, but the dealer replaced them at no cost to me because I am still under warranty.
just for future what temp and watt should I get as a replacement? thanks.
-
I am wondering, is there any place where I can find the replacement for the bulb for my headlight, I have the HID that came stock with the car, it's a 350 06. please help. thanks.
also I noticed there are different temp or something like that. please advice if possible.

I was wondering if there is a way to reset the bluetooth on the vehicle, it seems to get stuck, I have a treo 700p and it used to work fine, now I got the treo 755p and it doesn't allow me to sync at all. no matter what, I have deleted the phone, tried to add it again with no luck, please advice. thank you.
-
ne one know how to fix/reset it?
there is a way to do so, I believe it's in the menu option and you could just tell the navi the region you are in.
-
Don't forget to get an air filter. I recommend K&N air filter over Lexus air filter so you don't have to replace it often.
thank you all for your advice, I really appreciate the feedback.

The woolite is just ordinary Woolite fabric detergent you can buy wherever fabric detergent is sold (grocery stores etc), and the Lexol you can get from any car products store (Pep Boys etc).
As for the carpeting, I use an extractor for carpeting so I'm not very well versed on what works and what doesn't when working by hand.
thank you for your reply, any recommendations for cleaning the carpet? can I put them on my washer? can I buy a machine to clean it? thanks in advance.
-
I am going in for the 1 year maintanance on my IS350, what should I ask for them to do, I don't want to say "rape me, I am here for 1 year service", any advice would be appreciate it, also would this be a good Idea to use synthetic oil? should I buy my own synthetic oil and bring it to the dealer? please help thank you, I do a lot of freeway driving for the most part, not too much stop and go but some. thank you in advance.

Conditioning with Lexol once a month is way too often. The leather is held together by stitching, while the Lexol is good for the leather it degrades the stitching. If you Lexol every month your seats will literally fall apart over time. Once a year is plenty. Its not greasy or shiny provided you let it soak in and buff the leather dry afterwards. I hate a shiny interior, and I would never use a product that left the leather greasy.
Woolite is simply Woolite fabric detergent, available wherever fabric detergent is sold. Its 1 part woolite to 6 parts water. This would replace the Lexol cleaner and its WAY less harsh than that cleaner. Absolutely no reason to fear this cleaner, in fact its what the Lexus owners manual says to use. It says to use a 5% solution of a natural detergent for wool...Woolite. You can play with the ratio to make it work for you.
As for the Lexus cleaner and conditioner, its just rebadged Turtle Wax/Zymol. Nothing special.
best place to order the lexol and which woolite do you recommend and where to buy it from, also what can I use to shampoo my carpet, it's gray now, not black anymore, any help thanks. sorry for all the noobie questions.
-
I use Lexol once a month & use the lexol cleaner every other application.
thank you both for your reply, I was wondering if lexol is too shiny? or where I can buy that woolite, is it 1 cup woolite and 6 cups water? what kind of woolite? best place to buy it from? thanks in advance.
Mark Levinson Subwoofer Out Again. 06 Is350
in 07 - 13 Lexus IS250 / IS350 / IS-F

where do you guys recommend getting this sub or something similar. I believe a few years ago I had it replaced and they charged me about $750 and that was a discounted price.
Are there any other subwoofers that will sound equal or better than this one and not cost that much?
Thank you in advance for your advice.
