  1. I agree with you. Why Lexus couldn't standardize on an antenna for cell, satellite radio and AM/FM radio like Audi did is beyond me. There seem to be quite a few consumer oriented ammentities in the new IS that were dopped or not implemented because of schedule. For example, easy satellite radio hookup, pop-up trunk, easily accessible fuel and trunk release buttons, fold-down rear seats, etc. Peter
  2. I reviewed the installation instructions for the IS250 Xm installation. All of the work takes place in the trunk. The most difficult part of the installation seems to be unlocking the snaps that fasten the trunk panels in place. Before I order the Sirrius kit I'm going to make sure the prewire from the amp to the head unit is in place and that the wiring in the car matches that shown in the instructions. The parts guy at my dealer was telling me they needed to run a wire through the car to the head unit. That's contrary to the XM instructions. He did tell me about the antenna being off to the side. When they do an install they ask the customer where they want the antenna, center or side. I suspect that Lexus wants the antenna off to the side because it's easier to hide the wire on the underside of the trunk lid and maybe the reception is better on the side than in the center of the trunk. Peter
  3. Has anyone figured out how to remove the new style wiper blades on the IS250 ? The arm has the typical U-shape at the end but I can't figure out how to unlock the blade from the arm so I can replace the inserts ? There is nothing in the owner's manual about the locking mechanism. Thanks
