I'm having the same issue with Liberty Mutual.....all Insurance companies are scam artists. They wanted me to take my car to a place that works primarily on fords. The shop was on the back of a ford dealership lot. But of course I took my car to the APPROVED Lexus repair shop. I'm planning on going after Liberty Mutual for a Diminished Value claim. Legally they should compensate me/you for the decrease in value. Believe me when I tell you that all things being equal my car is now worth less than a comperable GS 300.

Everyone, I need some advice. I was rear-ended earlier this month in downtown Atlanta. :cries: Pretty little Ga Tech Graduate student. Anyway, my car suffered approx $5k in cosmetic damage....no frame damage. I'm expecting to get my car back next week as good as new. Except for this little issue of diminished value! I have 3 questions: 1. How much value can I expect to lose? I have an 05 GS 300 with approx 31k miles. 2. How difficult is it to collect from the insurance company? Liberty Mutual is covering all repair expenses since their insuree was at fault. 3. No police report....is it true that no police report means no Carfax report?

Try Jap Auto Pro...there in Hollywood. Hollywood Blvd and Fl Turnpike. They know Lexus/Toyota really well.

I have the same problem. I usually hear the clicking or popping when i'm in reverse and turning my wheel sharply to the right or left. I have my 30k service scheduled in a few days.....I plan to have them research. I can let you know what they come up with while they have the car.

Ok, I need some advice........I will reach 30k miles in about two weeks. I have an 05 GS300 and until now i've used the dealer only for my scheduled maint. I received a quote of roughly $600 from my local dealer in the Atlanta. How important is it that I use the dealer for the service needs of my Lex? Does anyone have an recent exp with this subject........good or bad?

If you haven't done anything yet....... I did the same thing. I like the sound of the factory system , but it didn't have enough umph ! I added a sealed Clarion Box with 2-12" subs and amp. It really brought the system to life I know there is a lot better out there but for under $500.00 it was the perfect solution for me. Dukabor. Dukabor, I'm currently mapping out a new sound system. I like your idea of adding the sub box & amp only. Did you change out the deck? What brand amp did you go with? I have an 05 GS and the factory Mark Levinson speakers are sweet but I want a little more bass without losing the quality of the stock ML speakers. I am defenitely changing my deck. I chose the Eclipse avn5435.
