  1. Ordered my black on black IS 350 fully loaded three weeks ago. Dealer at that time told me 4 to 6 weeks. He emailed me the other day to tell me the car is on its way from the island of Japan and will be in the U.S. on April 7th. From then it could be ten days until it reaches dealer. No sport package, no levinson, price $41K. :) Perfect, just in time for Spring. :) :)
  2. Interestd in the clear bra also. Has anyone had one put on
  3. newlexown traded in my infinit g35 sedan for the IS350 two weeks in, waiting period I was told is 4 to six weeks. I loved my G35, I bought it when it first came out in 2003. Got a little bored in 2006 and was going to buy the 330. However, after doing some research and taking a lexus test drive, I went for the 350. Spent $41,000 and got the car fully loaded. The 3 series would have been close to 45,000. Money wasn't the only issue. I like fast and Lexus will blow the doors off the 3 series and G35, so what could be bad? So maybe the handling is not as good as those cars, but I drive on the highway most of the time and I am sure the car handles good enough for me. Interior on Lexus was far nicer than BMW and far nicer than G35. As far as looks go, when I saw the IS 350 in person it looked great. I can't tell if the exterior styling will hold up but I like the looks. I got the car in black on black. Any comments? :chairshot: :chairshot:
  4. Yeah, I had reservations. The G35 was the best and most fun car to own. I got it right when it came out and there hasn't been a day I have been disappointed by it. It was nice to know when I traded in that the value held up pretty well ($19,000, paid 31,000 in 2003). I would have gotten another infiniti but the M felt like an old mans car, the coupe was to small and the sedan didn't offer anything new. You must have loved your six speed. Got to tell you though, I am pumped for the lexus. Much nicer interior than the G although I am not quite sure I like the styling as much as the G. As far as performance, there was not much wrong with the G. If the Lex comes anywhere close I will be a happy man. The test drive was impressive, although I like the roar of the G35 engine.
  5. Thanks for the reply. You seem to be the expert, anything else I can add to IS to make it stand out or perform better? Also, how has your experience been with the car? One other question - dealer says four to six weeks to locate, do you feel this is accurate /
  6. great review. Best one I have read, and I have read about 40 reviews. I live in N.Y. but you sound exactly like me. Late thirties, successful, looking to have some fun.
  7. Hey guys, just traded in my G35 for the new IS 350. I was happy with the G35 but got a little old after four years. Wanted a new style, faster and something more luxurious all of which I am hoping to find in the IS. Loved the test drive and the looks. I am excited to be a new lexus owner. Question, I like to keep my car meticulous, I try to avoid dings at all costs. is it worth it to put side moldings on thecar and how do you think it will look? Is the car susceptible to dings? Seems pretty expensive to add from the dealer, can you negotiate price?
