  1. Once you get inside this vehicle is when the magic begins. Push start button which eliminates the use of a key. The concept of never taking keys out of your pocket is convenient. The quality and feel of the leather seats and steering wheel is euphoric. This alone had me sold. I honestly found myself not wanting to get out of the vehicle. The DVD Nav and built- in blue tooth are incredible options. I would have never imagined having these types of options several years ago. The disappointment of the day was the performance. Even though the car boasts 306hp, it did not feel like it, at least to me.
  2. i agree. i had my friend who is a sales manager at a ford dealership punch in the numbers of my lease contract on the Lexus IS350. With a Adjusted cap cost of 45,600, 0 down, 36 month lease, 12,000 miles /year, they hit me at $789/mo My friend plugged the numbers in his lease profit scan which is supposedly accessible only to people in the business. He said the front gross was about 4k, and they were still trying to make 2k on back gross. they bumped up the buy rate. Like most have experienced on here, Lexus doesn't like to haggle on this vehicle since it is in high demand. I had my friend on a 3 way call with the GM of Lexus in Las Vegas. It was a truly professional car salesman phone call. These two were going at each other in tenacious fashion. It was amusing, I wish I tape recorded it. After all was said and done, the GM refused to budge on the price. We hung up and an interesting twist occurred. The salesman calls me back and lowers the monthly payment $25. From 789 to 764/mo! I still decided to pass. I think I will work out a better deal at a different dealership and instead of lease, go with a purchase
  3. i have a 744 score. They are offering what they claim to be the best APR of 6.25 through Lexus. They said any score over 730 qualifies you for the best rates. This is if i purchase. On the lease, they said since my credit is good, they could give me 0 down. But in most cases they said they would need a security deposit.
  4. sorry, yes i meant lease. however the car won't be at the dealership for another day. so i have been sitting up for hours tryiing to decide if i wanna lease, or purchase. I sold my car which was paid off for $12k, so i was going to put this money and an additional 3k down. so 15,000 down. But then again I'm being held back because on a lease, I can hold on to this money. At this point I'm having a hard time deciding which route to take.
  5. just purchased a black/black IS350 with MSRP of 46k. They took 1500 off MSRP to bring it to 44,759 My monthly payment is 789 with 0 down for 36 months, 12,000 miles per year. my credit score is 744. Sound high?
  6. i got the Mark Levinson package as well. The salesman said there is a hack so the DVD will play while driving. Not sure if this will work on the IS350, but I found this info: this information has been posted earlier but is worth repeating. while this information works for lx470's up to 2002, it is up to you to check if the wiring for your vehicle is the same. you can watch dvd's on the navigation screen with a simple 15 minute fix. pull the wood panel off from the center of the dash. there are two clips towards the outside of the top of the panel and two about 6 inches down on the sides. remove the electric clock connection on the bottom of the panel and set aside. remove the four screws holding the navigation screen. behind the temp up and down button there is a grey connector. locate and cut the violet wire 2" from the unit. shrink wrap or tape off these wires. this elimimate the speed sensor turning off the video. in the same connector, locate and cut the red wire with the white stripe 4-5" from the unit. shrink wrap or tape off the end that goes to the wiring harness. strip the end coming from the unit and ground it to the top left screw holding the unit in the metal frame. this simulates the emergency brake being on. slip everthing back together and only watch videos while moving ONLY IF YOU ARE THE PASSENGER! many thanks to sal who posted this back in february of 2002. by the way i e-mailed doctor bypass on ebay to ask him what his makes his $95. unit better than this free fix and got no reply.
  7. Just purchased a IS350 with MSRP of 45k. Equipped with every option possible. I used to sell cars and tried my best to beat them up. After hours and 2 visits, they only lowered it by 1500 off MSRP.
