I had this same issue and it was not the battery or alternator. After replacing both I discovered that the problem was my automatic shut-off on my headlights was not working. I never stay to make sure they cut off becuase I trust that the part works and it turned out to be defective. The problem may be that your lights are staying on and draining your battery.
