  1. steviej--thanks for the input on the stiff accelerator pedal on my 02 ES300. Do you or anyone else have any strong opinions on which type of washer fluid to use? In other cars(less expensive-read beaters) I have used the Prestone De-icer stuff as opposed to the alcohol based fluids. I have to admit to some concern about damaging the finish with the glycol in the De-icer formulation.
  2. I'm a first timer and have a used(1 yr old) ES300 and am having difficulty getting used to the accelerator. After 30 minutes or so of driving with soft soled shoes it makes my foot hurt. Seems like there is a lot of resistence in the pedal? I realize that this is an electronic throttle and have looked at the pedal assembly and it appears to have two good sized springs (one black and one gold) that provide the return pressure on the pedal. This is driving me nuts. The dealer humors me, but says everything is OK. Maybe Lexus owners don't wear soft shoes?
