  1. Thanks for the quick reply. I am hoping that is the case as well. Unfortunately, I probably won't hear from them until Tuesday because of the Memorial day holiday.
  2. I had the dealer fix the driver's side door on my '01 LS430 on Monday because it would not open from the inside (broken cable). Everything was fine until yesterday. Park the car and lock it. Come back, press the unlock on the remote and I hear the door unlock. Did not open the door within the 30 seconds and all doors lock automatically. Press the unlock button on the remote and nothing happens. Acts like the battery on the remote died (but you see the red LD light on the remote). Try unlocking manually with the key and NOTHING; door won't open. Called my wife and tried the second key - same results. None of the buttons on the remote s worked either (no trunk, no windows, etc.). The car is now back to the dealer. Any ideas what this could be? Could the repairs on the door earlier in the week have something to do with it even though all was fine for 4 days? Would appreciate any thoughts.
  3. Is there an easy way to tell which brand of amp I have in the 2001 LS 430? It has the Mark Levison system with the DVD navigation. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I appreciate the help.
  5. A couple of days ago, parked at a stop light, I suddenly started to hear LOUD clicking and crackling noises. The radio was off at this point. When I turned it on, it would suddenly come on at high volume and then go silent. This continued intermittently for a while and then the radio started to function normally. Now, every time I start the car, I get these loud clicking noises, and the radio comes on at full volume for a brief second, and then dies. There is silence for most of the ride, except for the occasional clicking noises. If the radio is in the "ON" position, the clicking noises are interrupted by a brief output from the radio (at full volume) and then back to silence for a while. The voice navigation works normally. Any ideas as to what this could be? I am afraid it is my amp which I hear is $1400 for my 2001 LS 430. If it is the amp, do I have any cheaper alternatives? Thanks for any help on this.
