  1. No, it likes engine roaring noise. The noise is not loud, but it wasn't there before the service. Now it sounds like a normal standard car, not what I expects from Lexus LS 400. Regards, Josh :cries:
  2. Recently my LS400 1996 had a major service for 200K. The mechanic is not a LEXUS, but they service european cars. I have been with them since I've bought the car 2 years ago and I'm quite happy with the result. This time, after major service, replacing timing belt, coolant, platinum spark plugs, auto transmission fluid, differential oil ..etc, I have 'noticeable' noise when I am accelerating (RPM shows 2). The noise will back to normal when it reaches the intended gear level. Usually this car is dead quite. Eventhough I switch off my radio, I hardly hear any engine or transmission noise. I will return this car to my mechanic, but does anyone have any clue what might have gone wrong?? Thanks for any feedback. Regards, Josh
  3. Sorry, I am not very technical. Did you mean the break light cover or subwoofer cover?
  4. Hi, The factory fitted car phone in LS 400 1996 is old and out of date. Is there anyone has attempted to covert the old phone with current model? Any information is appreciated. Josh
  5. Thanks for the tip, but Gen II has slightly different arrangement. The Subwofer cover is seperated from the Break Light cover.
  6. I've bought LS400 two years ago (1996). I need to replace the light bulb of the high mounted stoplight/breaklight. Does anyone know how do I get access to the light bulb? I cannot see any obvious access from the booot as well as from inside the car. Any information is very appreciated. Thanks, Josh
