  1. Here in Canada with my Lexus RX400h I average about 9.5L/100km in winter and about 8.5-9 L/100km in summer. On the highway my mileage is actually worse at about 10.5L/100km - that is when I average about 120 km/h on long stretches. Presumably your mileage would be a little bit worse with the larger engine.

    Hope that helps.

  2. Hybrids are a joke IMHO... Only if you drive around in the city do they provide any value....

Why are they a joke? The price differential between the IS250 and IS350 is pretty similar to the price differential between the RX330 and RX400h. The RX400h gives a fair bit more power (45 horsepower) than the RX330 - isn't that worth something? Plus you get the added benefit of much better mileage in the city. Sure your paying more, but you're getting more power + better mileage + lower emmissions. And in many places you get a tax credit from your government - in Ontario we get $1000 back from the government.
  3. Hello,

I'm planning on getting an IS350, most likely with the NAV + Mark Levinson system. I have a minor question about mp3 playback. How does it work? Do you basically burn a bunch of mp3s to a CD? Can you have folders and playlists? Random play? How easy is it to browse through the songs?

The best way to playback MP3s is to plug your iPod into the audio input of the car which is in the centre console. Yes you can burn MP3s or WMAs to CDs and do it that way, but that is SOOO 1990s.
  4. How To Enter Map Destinations While Driving

    In sequence

Press the Menu button on the dash.

Press the Volume button on the screen.

Press the upper left corner of the screen. (Where the speaker icon is located.)

Press the lower left corner of the screen.

Press the upper left corner of the screen again.

Press the lower left corner of the screen again.

    On the screen that appears:

Press the Override button and hold it until you hear a beep. The Override letters turn black in color showing it is deselected.

Press the Back button to get back to the previous screen.

this will let you enter info while driving

Does this permanently override this feature or do you have to do it every time you start the car?
