  1. Problems to look out for on a 93 GS300 are a leaky trunk which may damage your amp as it sits on the floor in the trunk also the center console wood grain tends to chip as many 93 GS300 owners have reported. If your's is not yet chipped, protect it from the sun. If in the future, you have this problem, go to Nycdashes.com for replacement at $60.00. Also be sure to check the radiator fluid. Don't let it get rusty, and use toyota products.
  2. You'll love your used lexus. I bought a 93 GS300 in 2000 and it's still going strong with 225,000 miles on it currently. Have only had to do routine maintenance.
  3. I have a 93 GS300 and had problems with my amp also, but with this generation, you may want to make sure the trunk is not leaking. If I'm not mistaken, your amp sits on the floor of the trunk and when it rains, the amp has problems. This may not be the case with your amp, but I wouldn't want you to buy a new amp just to be water damaged also. Just something to consider.
  4. Does the car seem to shake when it turns off at the light? If so, you may have broken an engine mount which has happened to me before and is a farely quick repair.
  5. I had the same question with my 93 GS300. So I just went ahead and removed the remainder of the cracked "wood," and we're ordering a replacement from nycdashes.com. It was recommended by another user, and it is the lowest price I've seen. You can buy the overlay for around the gearshift only for $60.00.
  6. vehicle is 93 lexus GS300 A couple days ago my AC light started blinking and my AC shut off. I played with the switch and it came back on, so I ignored it. later it started making noise, like low power steering fluid when I turned the wheel, later It got REALLY LOUD even when I didnt turn the wheel, the noise is coming from the power steering/ac compressor area, since they are right on top of one another I cant tell which is making the noise. So then I turn the AC off, AND THE NOISE GOES AWAY So then I figure it was the ac compressor, but now, its making the power steering noise when I turn the wheel, yet again. So could my power steering noise be made louder by the ac being on? and its just the power steering pump and not the compressor? thanks for your advise, this is my first post, I searched this topic, yet could not find someone with this problem
