had the same bug crushing problem on my 2003 sc 430. problem solved with professional installation of 3m clear bra. they cautioned that the darker the paint, mines amathyst , the more imperfections would show. i went ahead any way and am very happy with the non-look and the way even baked on grasshoppers easily wash off
