  1. I need the factory manual on pdf file. I know it's a slim chance, but just checking. thanx

    Blaise,

The file your looking for is posted on this site. There is a posting on Important Topics at the top the Lexus page that has the full manual for the GS300/GS400 in pdf file for you. '

    PS. Great Name!

    Regards,

    Blaise

    GS-300

    SC-430

    Hey thanx, blaise...lol

I need the factory "service" manual and not the factory owners guide. The one with all the repair guides. There is one posted for the 300, but it lacks the info I need for the engine repair.

  2. Well I just purchased a 1999 lexus gs300 from a local public action the ploblem is that it dont came with the keys does any one on here have a hook up on any local lexus dealership or know's where can buy one for cheap ?

If you can please help me out :(

Since you don't have any key, you need your ecm reflashed due to your transponder key. The key is married to the ecm and after you loose the master, you will need a locksmith who is able to reflash the ecm and program your new key to it. Once you get the key and ecm to match, then you can follow instructions on how to program keys into car. If you don't have a locksmith who can handle this you will have to take out your ecm and ship it to someone who can.

  3. My 1995 GS300 has been running rough when it is cold.

While going through a list of things to check, I cleaned the Volume Air Flow Meter ( Fuji part number 22204-42011) with CRC Mass Air Flow Cleaner. Even though the cleaner says it is safe for all sensors, connectors and plastics, it ruined my volume air flow meter.

I don't know why this happened (feel free to enlighten me). I'm making this post simply to warn others. The car would not even run after I used the cleaner. Luckily, I was able to find a replacement part at the junk yard and avoid spending big dollars to get back to where I started...

It is a very fragile wire, and you can't spray direct pressure from the can on to the wire. This would destroy it for sure. You need little bursts of cleaner sprayed from a distance and over some time to let dry.

  4. I'm not really a Lexus owner, I own a Toyota. I know it may seem that I'm one of those lower class peasants but hey, we're in the same kingdom right?

Anyways I got a stock 5-speed, supra mk4 non-turbo. I was thinking if the engine ever broke down or if I got enough money in the future, I could swap it for a V8 instead.

I came across the 3UZ-FE (The kind they have in those fancy Lexus cars) and I think it's the right choice since the old GS430 had UZ-GE engines. Don't want to put a cheap domestic V8 in it like a camaro or mustang engine cuz they are unreliable.

And so finally, I ask you this: Is this a legit site in your opinion?

    http://www.asapmotors.com/used-engines-lexus-c-1_23.html

    http://www.asapmotors.com/lexus-gs430-43-p...9e5a5fdb5d720df

How much do you think it costs for a brand new or used 3UZ-FE engine (Canadian money please)? Where would you get it from? Is it worth doing an engine swap like that?

    Thanks

I don't know about those but you can try...

    car-parts.com .... good luck

  5. Ive Posted this Aswell but didnt really think people would read all of what i had to say and actually reply so im hoping you could give some advice......

On MY 98' GS400 My Back Tire On the drivers side keeps losing air . its been like a month since i bought the car and i had to fill up the tire twice. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Im new to owning a car so im not sure if its the tire or me Because im 6'5 310lbs... do i need a new tire? should i replace all the tires ? what would be best for this situation?

P.S. im also thinking i need new brakes because im getting close to having to floor it for a complete stop but then there are days when i dont have to (whats up with that) and im having this shaking problem when im on the highway with my steering wheel after speeds of 60mph is that a sign that i need my wheels rotated and balanced? my car is also lowered and as of now and sits on 17' inch Stock Rims, im also planning on buying 18' inch deep dish black rims for my car by summer time but im not sure if i should worry about these things what would be better to do?

A.)jus deal with it untill getting my rims? because wouldnt that be cheaper to find a spot that gives you a rim and tire deal and have them install the rims ? rather than buying tires and having them install em, later buying the rims and the tires needed for best fit for the rims?

B.)Get the service done and replace the tire ?( Im not going to be driving it much since school starts next week and i live 3 blocks away).....

    thanks for your help

As far as the braking, have the fluid level and pads checked out first . Maybe there is air in the line. It may also be within your Hydraulic brake booster. This brake system actual controls line pressure and sometimes feels like a sponge. It could be faulty, and you might not have any warning lights on the dash, but it would be stored as a hard code in the ecm( not a code autozone can pull either). You are better off going to a toyota dealer (or someone who specializes in lexus) and have it checked out. After you have your tires checked and balanced (with a road force balance of course) and aligned and you still have a shimmy (I would say between 60-67 and again between 78-85) have your steering rack bushings checked out (as well as ball joints, tie rods and the whole front end). How many miles are on the car? Do you have any service history? This is why I say, bring it to someone knowledgeable to get it serviced up to date before you add rims and such.
