  1. I chaned out the LCD monitor today and it was very easy. The NAV system is still in Japanese probably beasue it is a separate unit with a Japanese CD still installed. But all of the other commands are in English. One problem however, is that the Lexus LCD monitor does not display the temp control or fan speed which the Harrier montior does. Does the Lexus not display this information on the LCD screen? This is critical if I want to use the automatice climate control system. I also had a DVD connected to the unit and the technician was able to disable the safety device which prevents the LCD screen from displaying the picture while the vehicle is moving. Not that I would drive while watching a DVD but nice for others in the vehicle.
  2. You will be receiving a email regarding your problem soon from the person who sold you the screen, The control box is what you need , Not the screen to be switched. B) ←
  3. I'm replacing the NAV screen in a 2001 Japanese Harrier (in Japanese) with a NAV screen from a 2001 Lexus (in English).
  4. I need to change only the screen. The NAV unit itself is fine.
  5. Can anyone tell me how to remove the NAV screen on a 2001 RX300? Gaz
  6. I live in Malaysia and recently purchased a 2001 Toyota Harrier (Lexus RX 300). It came with a NAV system which is integrated with the stereo system, climate control and TV. There are two problems with the system: 1. The language is Japanese so I cannot read the dispay. I'm not interested in using the NAV (no maps for Malaysia) but I am interested in all of the other displays/functions but in English. 2. The FM frequency on the radio only goes to 90.5 so I cannot access radio stations above that frequency. Is there anyway to change out the radio while still manitaining the display on the NAV screen? I frequently travel to the US so picking up items made for the Lexus is not a problem as long as they are compatible. Any help greatly appreciated. Note: This is a very common issue in Malaysia where loads of Harriers are improted into the country but not supported by Toyota.
