Have a 2004 ES 330 that is having, what sounds like, a similar problem. The battery and starter seem to work fine. It will start and work great, but every once-in-a-while, it doesn't start. All the dash lights come on but the starter won't kick in. This seems to happen most often just after filling the gas tank. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It has been to the mechanic three or four times for this, but it still happens. The first time, we just tightened the gas cap and that worked. I purchased a new Toyota gas cap about 18 months ago because of an evap system code, but we still continue to have this issue.
