  1. I recently got a 2000 RX 300 without navigation. I originally planned on putting in a Pionner AVIC N1, but it would cost upwards of $700 to install it, on top of the 1300 I paid for it, and the people at Tweeter were not even sure they could do it and get all of the radio/air conditioning buttons to still work. So I decided to get the Magellan 700 navigation system, which is better than the AVIC N1, but I still want to be able to play DVDs. I thought about getting a flip down screen with a built in DVD player, or head rest screens, but I want to be able to see it from the front seat. Is there any way I can put a screen somewhere where it is visible from the front seats, and maybe put the DVD player under a seat somewhere? Also, if I got a flip down screen, do those block my vision in the rear vew mirror?
  2. I know there are several topics on here regarding this, but I want to know if I can put a pioneer avic n1 flip out dvd/navigation in my RX 300. I've seen some custom jobs done where people have put head units all over the front of the car. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/239240/2 That is what I'm looking to do, I want the unit in the center dash so I can see my screen. I am going to take it to Tweeter and see, but they don't always know everything. How complicated is it for me to put the unit in? I know there is a little space below the stereo next to the heated seats, and maybe I can move everything down like in the link above, but I don't know how expensive that may be or even if it's possible without having to worry about ruining anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?
