  1. '94 GS300. I put the jumper wire to the diagnostic port and when i use the timing light I notice that the timing mark is the same as without the jumper. I see that there's 2 marks on the pulley. Also, I do the jumper wire and I don't get any blinking light to see what codes are, it just stays steady. Is there another way to access codes from ecu? thanks
  2. I bought my '66 Chevy II back in '89 and I still have it......
  3. Does anyone that is more than a backyard 2J mechanic, live near Whittier,Ca?
  4. Use motor Purr gas treatment, or Mechanic in a Bottle. the mech in a bottle has worked very well for me. My GSXR sometimes sits for a month or 2 and it's GUARANTEED, to plug up the idle jets every time. In the past, I've always had to take apart carbs to clean them out. I tried this *BLEEP* in the gas for like 10 minutes and it cleared it up 100%. Ran like a fresh rebuild on the carbs. I had a buddy try it out on his F.I. bike and he also noticed a difference. i highly recommend it, if you're gonna add something.
  5. '94 GS300 2J, into '91 cressida. Engine has intake and header, that's it. It fires up quick, but after a little while it starts running rich and high idle. The TPS is not exactly where is should be. If we rotate it ccw, it runs leaner and smoother, but it doesn't seem to rev up good. When it does, it sputters and we get black smoke. We've swapped out TPS, IAC, checked timing, new plugs, different O2 sensors,FPR, I installed Walbro 255L pump and it seemed to get very slightly worse. We hook up a check engine light and do the terminal jump, to access codes, but the light just stays on,it never blinks. i don't see any loose hoses.. I've even sprayed starting fluid around to check for leaks and nothing. WTF is going on? Is there any other way to check for codes?
