I had this same issue for 5 months. Brake actuator, brake accumulator and abs relay were replaced. It was intermittent as you said. It turned out to be the engine junction block where the abs relays and other fuses are located. There are other micro relays and electronic components on a circuit board in the middle of the junction block that might have failed. I didn't see anything wrong, but that fixed the issue for me.
