  1. We've had our 06 LS430 Ultra since it was new. (It now has 51,000 miles on it.) We've felt there was excess road noise since we got it. We realized that all the test drives we did were in models with 17" wheels and our car came with 18" chrome wheels. We changed tires 3 times in the first year, looking for quieter tires. We are ready to buy yet another set of new tires and decided that we'd like to get 17" wheels, thinking that will lessen the road noise. Has anyone else done that? If so, was the ride quieter? Do you know if we can just put 17" Lexus wheels on in place of the 18" wheels? The Lexus dealer was no particular help, saying only that there is only one brake caliper part number for both options. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA
