  1. Hello All - Does anyone know what the correct torque setting is for tightening the brake calipers on a 2003 LX 470? thanks
  2. I appreciated everyone's feedback. I will definately try it out on my own. Thanks
  3. Hello All - I know everyone must be tired of this question, but I would greatly appreciate some assistance after I got back from the dealer and they told me I needed 4 new pads and turn th rotors for $1,100! I know the dealer needs to make some money but this is rediculous. My rotors are still pretty smooth after 30k miles. I asked the dealer not to work on the rotors and just give me new pads on all 4 corners and they would not do it. They require that I thave the rotors turned before they can install new pads. I have done many searches and cannot find the answer to these questions. Do I need a socket wrench (16mm) to get the calipers off? If not, what do I need? what torque setting should I use to tighten the two bolts for the caliper after the new pads are installed? What size C clamps are recommended in order to push the pistons back in? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hello All - I was testing the vehicle height control the other day and I would like to know if this is normal. The vehicle will drop or raise properly, but what good is this feature if the height returns to the normal height as soon as the car starts moving? I first thought that the height control will only stay at the designated height until you reach a certain speed, but it was not the case. When I lowered the vehicle and drove 5mph, the truck would still return to the normal hight. Is this normal? If so, what is the point of the adjustment feature? Thanks
  5. Hello All, I am new to this site. I just purchased the 2003 LX 470 for my wife. I drove it for the first time this weekend and found a few things I was not sure about. My main concern was the transmission. If I am driving around 40-50 MPH on a slight uphill and I let go of the gas and let the RPM drop to the furthest point and then accelerate, the transmission has rough clunk before it starts to go. This does not occur on a down hill, only on a slight uphill. It will also not do it evertime, only about 3 out of 5 times. Has anyone experienced this? Second this is there is a lot of vibration coming from the steering wheel. I can feel the vibration starting from 3-5 MPH, I do not think it is a balance problem. Maybe the tire tread pattern is causing this. At highway speeds the steering wheel does not shake. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks...
