I have had a problem with my brakes squeaking on my 400h. The rather loud squeak/squeal occured mostly when I was backing up and was loud enough to attract attention from passers-by. The car has less than 4,000 miles on it. I brought it into the dealer earlier in the week and was told they could find nothing wrong so I asked to speak with the service manager and expressed my dissatisfaction with this. The service manager had me drive back and forth demonstrating the squeak and agreed that the noise was unacceptable. Today i brought the car back to the dealer so that they could investigate the brakes and they discovered the front rotors had cracked. These were replaced. Just FYI, when I asked the service guy why this would happen in a car with so little mileage he told me they had seen a few cases of cracked rotors in the 400h.

I just bought walked in to two dealers in central New Jersey to test drive the RX 400h yesterday. One dealer had a mica/black 400h on the lot that he was selling and he told me several other unspoken for cars were coming in w/in the next month. I went to another dealer and was able to negotiate a good trade-in for my 2003 MDX and get MSRP on a Silver/grey 400h that is expected to be delivered next week. I'm very excited because I expected to be put on a waiting list and have a 6 month wait at least. Both dealers told me if you are willing to be flexible on colors that you can get the car w/in a month. So there are cars out there and the wait time for my car will be considerably shorter than I waited for my MDX.
