I just hooked up my sound system, but the ground was bad or it just got really hot or something so smoke started to fill the trunk (right next to the gas tank..... *BLEEP*) luckily i saw it and turned off the car, but now i need to figure out where the best ground is in the trunk of the ls. i had it under the carpet on the left side where theres a little vent-like black thing that leads to inside of the rear fender. The ground was connected to a bolt. Where should i change the ground to- i dont have much cable length, so it needs to be omewhere in the trunk. thanks

actually i think i figured out the sub out wiring but now i need to know where to take my remoute turn on lead. I just tried taking it to the AMP+ from the deck to the amp, but that resulted in nothing on the aftermarket amp.

thats absolutely perfect- matches exactly. only thing i need now is to know if i can take the woofer outs from the amp and run them thru an aftermarket 600w amp and then to subs?

hey- anyone have the wiring digram for a 95 ls400 head unit (it says 'lexus premium sound' on it)? is it the same one as any other car? been looking for days- thanks

I'm trying to hook up my 3 12" jl audio w3's to the stock deck on my 95 LS400. Ive got a 600w aftermarket amp, but was wondering how i could hook all this up to the stock deck and keep that clean look. Is the stock amp only for the stock 8" sub or does it power the spearkers too? My new amp is a mono sub amp, so if the stock amp powers the speakers, i'd really like to keep that for everything but the subs. Any help on how i can wire my mono amp up to the stock deck is greatly appreciated.

Hi all- new to this site- I've been trying to figure out where the amp is on a 95 ls400 (regular sound system) and have come to the conclusion that there either isnt one, its in the trunk, or its under the passenger seat. I've checked in the trunk, and found a box, but it didnt do much and there seems to be a goldmine of activity under the passenger seat (not to mention the accumulation of a good sum of quarters and dimes). I've been looking for a tutorial or any advice as to how to remove the front seats, but havent found anything for it. also, has anyone put a 10" sub in the spot where the stock sub sits? I'm considering putting one in, but if it requires a lot of difficult work then i'll stick with an 8 incher. any help is greatly appreciated- thanks also- is the 95 ls considered mk2? the headlights confuse me becuase on what i consider a true mk2 the headlights are more smooth and are clear.
