My light never stops blinking untill I hit the "off" button - Is it possible I just need a recharge?

Thanx gcarpent! Do you know of any easy ways for someone to check the sensors?? Or is it something I'd have to take somewhere to be tested. (I'm a car idiot)

THANX - I WILL LOOK INTO THE EXPANSION VALVE (EVEN THO I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS) IT SOUNDS ALOT LESS EXPENSIVE THEN A COMPRESSOR LOCK UP!!! THANKS AGAIN!!! I'L KEEP U POSTED

SKPerformance - you seem to be very knowledgable about this stuff (I seem to know nothing!) Here's one for you: I have a 1999 SC300, 82,000 miles, black w/ black (and beautiful) the only problem it has is that a green indicator light starts flashing on the A/C button. This only occurs when the A/C is turned OFF and after about 10 or 15 minutes. When it starts to flash - I press the "off" button and it stops but then starts again after another 15 minutes or so. The A/C runs fine and doesnt flash when its on - only when its off. I ran the self diagn. test and it gave me the "00" meaning normal. I've done some research but im clueless. Any suggestions before i get a big bill from the dealership?? PLEASE!!! Is it possible that it is an old code (like 21 for being in the dark running the test before) and its just in memory??

Have u had any luck w/ this??? I have a flashing green A/C indicator light that only comes on when my A/C is off. It starts about 10 minutes after I turn it off plus It will stop when I press the "off" button but will come back on after 10 minutes (its annoying) everything seems to work fine but i dont have a clue what it is.

only on the powertrain - i don't suppose that helps much - I'm thinking about taking it to the dealership just to find out what it is - I'm buying new tires and brakes this week so I'l b broke!!!! :(
