  1. This is obviously a very old thread, but is there any more info on this. I was able to easily disable the chime on my 2006 RX400 by just typing in a few numbers into the display. I really hate it because I often have to do a lot of slow driving with quick stops.

  2. Thanks for the input. I did do a search, but there were several hundred topics found under "alignment"

I just got back from the dealer and all they did was rotate the tires. After leaving I still had the pulling to the right, though not as bad. I'll be taking it to an alignment specialist next week.

  3. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. My 06 Rx400 tends to drift to the right all the time. I don't notice it so much on short trips around town, but my arm actually gets sore on extended drives from keeping a slight adjustment to the left. The last time I took it in to have looked at, the dealer said it was because my tires needed to be replaced. I did that, but the problem persists.

  4. I ended up bringing the phone to the dealer and they paired it with the bluetooth system. They said that they didn't know how to transfer the phone numbers. However, surprise, surprise. I tried to transfer the numbers but couldn't find the place to send them from the iPhone, but for some reason my old programming stayed in the car and the numbers work! Even the 1 Touch numbers! Go figure.

I had the exact same thing happen.

One problem I have though, is that when I make a call, the iPhone asks me whether I want the handset or the car to make the call. When I press the "car" to make the call, nothing happens. I have to use handset for all my outgoing calls. When I receive calls, the bluetooth works flawlessly.

  5. My phone connects perfectly to the Nav system via Bluetooth, but it seems after I dial a call I miss the first 3-5 seconds of the conversation.  Any suggestions?  Does everyone else's phone do this?  Everything is fine when I receive calls or originate calls from the touch screen,  I only seem to have a problem when call from my actual phone.  Thanks.

I have the same problem when I use my phone to dial out, I think it is because it is waiting for the bluethooth connection. If you dail from you car Navi system, it doesn't have that problem.

I too have that same problem. I use a Motorola V505 (same as V551), and it works great in every other area. I now have to say hello, over and over again to make sure the person I call doesn't hang up.

Another problem I have; if I turn off the car and try to continue a conversation, the phone hangsup. With the previous bluetooth that I had installed in my old Lexus, it would automatically switch over the call to the handset.

Has anyone figured out a way to hold onto the call when turning off the car?

  6. I believe all Lexus dealers fear poor results on the post-purchase Lexus survey sent to all new owners.  Bad survey results = bad relations with corporate.

No doubt, you have one of the worst Lexus dealers in the county if they treated so horribly, AND made your car unsafe in the process.

Let Lexus (Toyota) corporate know that, and send a photocopy of your survey to the General Manager (or owner) of the dealership.  The squeaky wheel (in this case, quite literally) gets the grease.

    Good luck.

I agree with letting corporate know. You will get a survey in a couple of weeks. Anything less than perfect gets them into hot water. My dealer was Longo Lexus here in So Cal and they were great. The wheels on the 400H are beautiful. I can't imagine changing them. I did change the ones on my RX330 that I traded in, but they came with unappealing wheels imho.

  7. Last week I had decided not to accept the RX400 I ordered over a year ago, because I love my current RX330 so much. The dealership crunched some numbers and ended up giving me far more in trade in for my RX330 than I ever would have dreamed. I know what I could have sold if for, and they gave me more. Of course I'm paying MSRP, but I think most people are. Am I right? Just hoping I don't have buyers remorse.

The dealer is bringing it it my house, because I can't leave right now. It should be here in about an hour. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

  8. I'm glad you like the silver instead of the wood. That is my biggest gripe. I ordered one 1.5 years ago, and my dealer is bringing it over as I write this. I'm a lazy *BLEEP*. I'm trading in my RX330 because they are giving me such a great trade in. I hope I don't have buyers remorse, because I love my current vehicle so much.

  9. My dealer, Ray Catena NJ (1st in the region, 3rd in the world) largest Lexus dealer got their 400h in.  The General Manager Tim Horn called last night and asked me to come and test drive the vehicle.

Very smooth, no noise even when engine pops in you cannot tell.  More insulation than the 330.  Got on major highway and put the pedal to the metal, WOW what torque, neck snapping.  I believe the 6.9 sec to 60 is high.

The only negative I can find is the aluminum trim, don't like it.  The wood kit looks sooo much more luxurious.  I will put a wood kit in as soon as my color arrives.  Believe me you will not find much to complain about with this baby.    :D

I too, do not like the aluminum trim. Is it really possible to put a wood kit in?

  10. I've had my RX330 for a year and a half and absolutely love it. When I bought it I put a deposit down on the 400H just for the fun of it, and now I have to make a decision. I test drove one yesterday, and could have driven it out, but just couldn't make up my mind. I get the one I ordered next week, and then I'll be off the list. I only have 22K miles on my 330 and they are willing to give me 30K in trade which I think is pretty good. I guess I'm just writing this for myself to help me decide, but any input would be appreciated.
