  1. I too had the same problem on my 2011. I just bought it in January of this year from my local dealer with 14k miles on it, and when I brought in for the free oil change, my dealer noticed it and had them fix it free of charge.
  2. This is obviously a very old thread, but is there any more info on this. I was able to easily disable the chime on my 2006 RX400 by just typing in a few numbers into the display. I really hate it because I often have to do a lot of slow driving with quick stops.
  3. I just received the Gen 4 7.1 DVD and want to install it, but I know that I'll lose the ability to input addresses while driving. I heard that one can change some of the files on the DVD to prevent that. kwi. ? Is that true, and how would I go about that? Thanks for any suggestions.
  4. Never mind. By further searching I found out that you need to hold the reset button for a good 30 seconds; not 12-20. It is deactivated now and I love it.
  5. Doesn't the seatbelt gong overide work on the 2006 RX 400? I tried the procedure several times but couldn't get it to work.
  6. Can you guys tell me where you downloaded these upgrades from? I found the gen 4 7.1 upgrade on Ebay, but its' $139. Still better than the dealer though.
  7. Thanks for the input. I did do a search, but there were several hundred topics found under "alignment" I just got back from the dealer and all they did was rotate the tires. After leaving I still had the pulling to the right, though not as bad. I'll be taking it to an alignment specialist next week.
  8. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. My 06 Rx400 tends to drift to the right all the time. I don't notice it so much on short trips around town, but my arm actually gets sore on extended drives from keeping a slight adjustment to the left. The last time I took it in to have looked at, the dealer said it was because my tires needed to be replaced. I did that, but the problem persists.
  9. The last time I checked at the local Lexus dealership, they did not have an update for the GPS. I've had the 2006 RX 400 for 2 1/2 years now (can that be right?) and there are many areas here in Southern California that don't show up on the map. These are not brand new neighborhoods. Some were built in 2003. Has anyone gotten an update for their system
  10. I had the exact same thing happen. One problem I have though, is that when I make a call, the iPhone asks me whether I want the handset or the car to make the call. When I press the "car" to make the call, nothing happens. I have to use handset for all my outgoing calls. When I receive calls, the bluetooth works flawlessly.
  11. I took my 400h in to the dealer because the allignment seemed a little off, and was told I needed new tires. I was very surprised because of the low mileage on my car. The service rep mumbled something about hybrids causing more wear on the tires. Has anyone else heard this?
  12. I live very close to a Toyota dealer, and just thought I'd check on prices. I will certainly try my dealer first and see if they will get them for me. I looked at the logotype on the Prius and it is smaller than what you have. Like you said, maybe it was from an older model.
  13. I managed to find the Hybrid Synergy logo at the local Toyota dealer, but the Hybrid logo was different than the one you have. The one on the Prius is smaller than the one you show in your pictures. Is it from a different vehicle? BTW the price was $23 for the Synergy logo and $27 for the Hybrid logo.
  14. I too noticed slight surging at freeway speeds, but it seems to have calmed down a lot since the car was brand new. My mileage has been averaging about 24.5 mpg.
  15. I have the same problem when I use my phone to dial out, I think it is because it is waiting for the bluethooth connection. If you dail from you car Navi system, it doesn't have that problem. ← I too have that same problem. I use a Motorola V505 (same as V551), and it works great in every other area. I now have to say hello, over and over again to make sure the person I call doesn't hang up. Another problem I have; if I turn off the car and try to continue a conversation, the phone hangsup. With the previous bluetooth that I had installed in my old Lexus, it would automatically switch over the call to the handset. Has anyone figured out a way to hold onto the call when turning off the car?
