I just replaced my starter and after I put everything back together I hop in the car, step on the clutch, push the start button and it sounded like the starter would not disengage so I push the start button again to turn it off and try 1 more time and I got the same result. I wanted to charge my phone so I pushed the start button without stepping on the clutch and the car attempted to start as if I was stepping on the clutch. Any idea what the cause is and/or how to fix this?
