  1. Hi again: It wasn't the coil either. I put a new coil in and the same trouble with hesitation/stumbling persists. Gotta keep looking... Bill
  2. Hi: Follow-up... I tested the coils with an ohm meter last evening. The left coil was OK and well within specs. The right coil was way out of specs,... twice the resistance in both the primary and secondary coils. I've ordered a new coil from the local dealership and will install it tomorrow. Will let you all know what the outcome is. TTYL, Bill in Saskatoon
  3. What is the possibility of the problem coming from one of the two coils?
  4. Hi! This is my first posting to this forum. I'm looking for help diagnosing engine trouble with my 1991 LS400. The engine accelerates fine under light load, like city driving. Under full throttle (petal to the metal) it also performs flawlessly. But under moderate acceleration, like passing within the city, or accelarating on the freeway on-ramp, the engine "stumbles" or "misses". Warm or cold engine makes no difference. I've changed the plugs and wires. No change. No codes are displayed. Any suggestions? Juddly
