  1. For the past 7 months, I replaced 2 fuel pump ECU for my 92 SC400. The first replacement was from 92 SC400 fuel ECU with ~92K. The second replacement was from 94 SC300 with ~60K. Both last less than 5K. What is life span for the fuel pump ECU?.
  2. Thanks for you help, it was the burnt EFI fuse. I probably miss jumped the diagnostic ports in the first place. I have another problem, the diagonstic code is 78 - bad fuel pump control. This is the third time I have this problem. The first time I replaced with a junkyard 92 SC400 (~90k miles) fuel pump ECU, that last ~6 months (20K miles). The second time I replace with a 94 SC300 (60K) fuel pump ECU. That last for 5K. This just my bad luck or does the fuel pump ECU life time that short?. Anyone have any suggestion for long last fuel pump ECU?. Thanks
  3. While driving my 92 sc400, the engine die in the middle of the road. I waited for 10 minutes then start the engine and drove home. I have a gut feeling that something wrong with my car, then I try to restart the car, it won't start. I notice that there is no more Check Engine light. Before, when I have the key to 'ON', the check engine light turn on for a few seconds, but now there is no check engine light at all. I replace new bulb for the check engine, but still no go. Now my car won't start, and I can't get the check code since there is no check engine light. There are electric in the car, the fuel line does have fuel. Does anyone out there know what does it mean when the check engine light totally go out?. Thanks
  4. My '92 SC400 Naki amp broke, so I just installed a new 5-channels sony amp. The sound are great, everything are good except I get a "pop" noice whenever I turn on or off the HU. I did a lot of search on this subject. People suggest a delay will solve the problem, but the delay will only eliminate the turn-on pop, not the turn-off pop. There is a couple device out there that can solve both problems, such as Stinger Off Pop Eliminator, and Stinger On Pop Eliminator. Both can be found on cardomain.com I just need to temporary turn off the amp while the HU is turn on or turn off. My question is that how can I use the OEM Mute wire to temporary disable the amp for 1s-2s?. Isn't that the remote turn-on lead output 12v?. Is there a type of relay or device out there that connect remote turn-on lead and mute lead, and if the mute lead is active, then the remote turn-on lead is disable?. For those people install after market amp, what is the setup?. Thanks.
