Finger pointing to where it connects... Anybody home?

Oh yeah its a 1997 ls400

Not sure what this set of wires is called or user for.. They go from driver side fuel rail area (not to injectors ) and wraps around front of engine and underneath motor, and disconnects by what looked like battery ground. Looks like previous owner tried to do a rig job that turned out looking like something that crawled out Satan's butt hole CE, Trac, and battery lights were all on, showing 4 codes. Moving these wires around reduced it to just CE light and only one code. Cylinder 5 misfire
