  1. 2007 IS250 AWD--original owner 117,000 to date. Only significant repairs--4 CV axles and right front and rear wheel bearings. Have had all the recall work, including the major engine rework at 95,000. Recently the Check VSC light came on intermittently..with increasing frequency. I read a number of the older posts on this issue and was relatively confident that I could drive it with not major issues when it recently decided to come on in a national forest drive with limited cell reception. Most recent symptoms were usually that the light came on after I had been driving a while--hot engine. If I stopped, turned it off, waited a couple minutes, then turned it back on, the light would wait a few minutes before it reappeared. Online posters offered several ideas..the simplest of which was gas cap and have Auto Zone use OBD. The posts said usually the diagnostic comes up with no problem….they were CORRECT. No problem showed, so I bought a $10 gas cap. That was a couple hundred miles ago, and, fingers crossed, no more light!! THANKS to all of you for this forum and those posts. I'm a 68 year old female. My dad taught me a little about cars, but no doubt you guys probably saved me some serious money and frustration.
