Thanks for the info to reset the "Check VSC ." Non-Lexus shop installed a new battery in a '99 LS400 (110K miles) today. Afterward the Check VSC warning was displayed. Followed the info you posted for your '00 LS40 - did the trick. I love this Forum! Bill Did you read the threads I pointed you to? For my 2000 LS400, there is no "reset device". For the 2001 LS430, the "reset device" is a paperclip. It may be different for your 02 GS.

1999 LS400 w/66K miles. The LOW WASHER FLUID reminder is active in the Multi Information Display. The washer fluid reservoir is full. Lexus dealer has not been contacted about the problem. Does anyone know if this problem something an average independent Lexus or Toyota mechanic can handle? Thank you. Bill

FWIW, Auto Zone and Discount Toyota Parts did not list the cabin filter for a LS400. And, I could not get the order system to take my order on Iron Toad. Bill

AutoZone usually stocks one (made by Bosch, IIRC). I bought it for about $16. ←

Thanks for the names of cabin filter suppliers for the LS400. I just received a reply from a Taiwan auto parts mfg. for the filter. See below. Unit price is $2.5 for the filter w/o carbon. Don't know what the order quantity and shipping would be but I've asked for gin-chern to let me know the minimum quantity they could ship.
