Thanks for the information. I still have not been able to remove the door panel, however, in the meantime I have noticed that the speakers in this door both work intermittently, so I think the speakers are OK. Has anyone else had this happen? Any suggestions on where to check wiring or could it possibly be in the radio itself?

How do I replace the driver's side door speaker? I have no sound from this door and the dealer says it is a blown speaker but wants $275 to replace it.

I have a '99 LX470 with the Nakamichi audio system. The speakers in the left front door do not work at all. The speaker in the left rear door does work. All speakers on the right side work also. Any suggestions where to start troubleshooting?
