  1. Hello Everyone - Was hoping to get a little insight on what might be the problem with my 1999 GS300 that has a problem with stalling. I am thinking it is a TPS issue or some sort of sensor. Thank you for the help! Problem - Car stalls when i come to a complete stop at a stop light or standing idle. - If the car stalls I generally have to floor the gas to get it to start again. From that point to keep it running i have to feather the gas over 1200rpm. - When i can feel the car starting to choke, I put the car in neutural and try to give it gas. Sometimes it responds, sometimes it does not then stalls. From this point, I start back at point 2. - When car stalls it feels like it is choking for air. Syptoms - Noticing a little bit of a rough idle at first start of the day - Idle to me seems a little low - Car runs fine when gas is being applied - I live in Las Vegas where current temperature is usually 95-105 degrees. I notice the car tends to stall more often on hot days. - The problem occurs only after running the car around town for an hour or two. Again, seems to happen often on hot days. Car condition - In good shape with - 167K miles - Plugs and wires replaced 10K miles ago - Fuel pressure regulator replaced 10K miles ago - Timing belt changed 20K miles ago - Regular maintenance completed - Good battery and alternator
