  1. I have a '90 LS400 with the original CD Changer in the trunk.  For about a week the cd's would play, but seem to "skip".  The skip was not due to scratches on the cd.  The CD player would just stop playing a moment, and would pick up a few seconds later in the tune.  After a week of "skipping" it will not play CD's at all.  It will load each disk, but reads error on each one.  I'm concerned that it is going to have to be replaced.  I would like to try cleaning, resetting, just about anything to try and get it to work.  I don't know how to do these things.  If anyone can tell me what I could try and how, I would appreciate it so much.  Thanks!

I think we may have had a similar problem once before on our sc 400. You might try to reset by popping out the fuse for the unit and replacing. As I recall, ours would lock up and only show some kind of error message.

  2. I have a 92 SC 400 with 130,000 miles. It was serviced at the dealer forever. All maintenance was done on schedule. The last service was done about 1000 miles ago.

The car developed this thump when coming to a stop. I found that that the tran fluid was "way" over filled. I have since had an independent Lexus/Toyota garage change the fluid.

We have not driven it much since then(100 miles or so) but the sound id still present. I noticed that it does not occur if the overdrive is turned off.

    Any ideas???
