  1. I have been using the over sized oil filter: PureOne PL 20250 for the last 4 oil changes (over 20K miles). It is approx. 50% longer than the OEM filter, it has the same thread & gasket diameter. Anyone use over sized oil filter in their RX300 ? I would like to hear from you.
  2. The 3K miles interval was made up by the oil companies here in the states, after all, it does make good business sense. Where as in Europe, the same RX300 the oil change interval is at 10K. Having said this, I do think however, that running 10K on dino oil is a bit of a stretch, I probably would not exceed 5K miles with dino oil. I have been using synthetic oil ever since the first oil change, it is a little more expensive, but I look at it as fairly cheap insurance for our engine. Syn-oil has a much higher flash point temp., and coking is not as prevalence in our hot running engine, it also has a built in cleaning property. I prefer to use only synthetic oil, running Valvoline Synpower 5w-40 during the hot summer months, and Mobil 1 5w-30 for the cooler months. If I am to use dino oil in my car, Castrol GT is the only oil that I would consider.
  3. During the hot summer months, I use Valvoline Synpower 5W-40. Then Mobil 5W-30 synthetic when the weather gets cooler. Good luck
  4. I purchased 2 bulbs from Lexus dealer. Installed one a few months ago with no problem. However, the second one that I installed (on the opposite side) is the problem one. Could be a bad bulb ?
  5. I've recently replaced the rear left brake light bulb on my wife's RX300, and the rear light indicator on the dash board is still on most of the time. It is off when the car is first started, but remains on once the brake pedal is depressed. Any suggestion ?
