  1. I want to buy a 1993 SC300 with 115,000 miles. My neighbor (sic) told me his friends have one that lost its suspension at 150,000 miles and they all do this and it cost four grand to replace the suspension. I wonder if they did not maintain the suspension and this caused the failure. What can one expect for suspension problems and maintanence? I expect a I buyers inspection by a qualified mechanic should find such problems. Also, one car had its 90,000 mile scheduled maintanence, the new timing belt, water pump, ect (the tune up) done at 70,000. This is probably a cautious fellow, but can there be another reason? Thanks for the time and help, I want to buy a SC300 but need a car that will not send me to the credit card. Stanley
