  1. The 2ZRFXE engine has a timing chain that requires no periodic inspection. I am going to change both the water pump and thermostat as a precaution. I have 50 years experience as an aircraft mechanic. The OEM cost from Amazon is $208 for the pump and $21 for the thermostat. Thank you for your input! It got me thinking about whether I have a chain or belt.
  2. At 96K i got my first code, Coolant Pump “B” Control Circuit Short. All my research indicates the water pump needs to be replaced. Do the pumps wear out around the 100K? Scottsail2
  3. Greeting, I just purchased my first Lexus and I wanted to know is a Wrap warranty worth the money. My ES300h has the 72 month/70,000 power train warranty. When I was completing the loan over the phone with a USAA customer service individual, he asked if I wanted to purchase a Wrap Warranty. He said it would extend the full coverage of the original 48/50,000 to match the power train, it costs $584. I am posting on this forum because your vehicles are in the Wrap warranty period. What repairs have you had and what were the costs? I chose Lexus due to the reliability that is my quandary. I have 30 days to keep the policy or get a refund. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
