Recharge Ac In 2006 Lexus 400H

I was under the impression the oil contained in the freeon conducts electricity so should not be used with a hybrid is this true or false? -
Vehicle was in collision and ac condensor was changed. Anything special to recharging the ac system in the vehicle being that its a hybrid. Can i do it myself with a can from the local auto parts store?
