  1. Apologies if this had been addressed earlier. But I just had my 05 ES in for service. As usual I complained about the transmission which in my case meant the car occasionally seemed confused which gear to use and when coasting through a stop sign, no amount of throttle input would result in a smooth transition. The service manager said their had been two updates since my last complaint in April. The car is much improved, the stop sign thing isn’t perfect but about 90% better. Overall I’m very happy with the change and would recommend it to others.
  2. Speaking of tires I have the 16" Michelin MXV4's Plus on my 05 ES330. I find the tires are very quiet at the recommended 29psi. The issue I have is I find the car doesn’t track very well. I am constantly having to make corrections to keep the car going straight on the hwy. The dealer told me to increase the tire pressure to 32psi for the winter months. The car does track better but still not great. Also there’s a little more road noise at 32psi. Is there a better tire for tracking straight down the hwy?
  3. One question however.......How much off did Ken Shaw give you compared to Lexus of Oakville? ← It wasn't a huge deal to write home about but it worked out to about $1500 over the 4 year lease. Better in my pocket than in Oakville's.
  4. Welsome 05ES! :D Where abouts in Onrario are you from? & what Lexus dealer did you purchase your ES? I'm in Toronto. I'm personally not aware of any 'Lexus' mudguards available for the ES model, but perhaps some dealers offer something in their parts departments that differ from dealer to dealer. Give a few of them a call to ask. If your intrested in rust-proofing at all.....let me know as well. I know the BEST guy in the provience. B) ← I'm from Burlington but purchased the car at Ken Shaw in Toronto. I wanted a white Special Edition, a hard colour combination to get. Ken Shaw had a deal go south on one and now had one in stock. I have always found it easer to negotiate wile the car is in stock. So with the combination of very few white ES's and Oakville’s lack of wiliness to negotiate I went with Ken Shaw.
  5. I just picked up a 05 ES 330, this site has been great and actually part of my purchase decision. I realize this topic has come up, but it really bugs me how everything on the road ends up on the side of the car. I was wondering if anyone had even a custom solution.
