  1. So far the Treo 650 is having many problems with Bluetooth - check out any of the Treo user groups. Lexus is only certifying a select few phones to work with the Lexus implementation of Bluetooth - and so far that doesn't include the Treo. For example, with Sprint there is only 1 phone nationally that is certified - the Sony T608. Try http://lexus.letstalk.com for more information on Lexus certified Bluetooth phones. I have an LS430 and a Treo 650 and it doesn't work so far. Lexus customer service said that if it isn't on Letstalk then they can't help.
  2. Lexus is apparently only certifying a select few phones. This means if you are a Sprint subscriber - you get a choice of 1 Sony Ericsson phone - the T608. You have to order the phone from Lexus or Letstalk.com. Lexus has done an exclusive with Sony so that you can't buy the phone from Sprint. If you have a different carrier than Sprint - go to http://lexus.letstalk.com to find out what might work. After looking into it further - it looks like Lexus has certified approximately 6 phones in total across all carriers. I've read in other blogs where a select few phones not certified by Lexus may work to varying degrees but with no support from Lexus. If you don't buy one of the "Lexus" phones you're on your own at this point - at least that's what the Lexus customer service has told me.
  3. go to www.lexus.letstalk.com at last check the v600 had not been tested ← According to Let's talk - there is only 1 Sprint phone "certified." I'm confused - why does Lexus have to certify anything if it's Bluetooth? Bluetooth has a few standard specifications - so all Bluetooth 1.1 devices should work together? Any why would Lexus want to get in the certification business anyway - particularly for cell phones that get out-dated each year? What I have found is that the only "certified" phones are ones where Lexus has exclusive rights to the phones - you can't buy the Sony Sprint phone from Sprint - only from Lexus or Lets talk (a Lexus sponsored company). Does anyone know how to get non-certified phones to work? Or any Sprint phones other than the only certified phone? Thanks!
