well, I found out that the battery is bad at AUTOZONE! well I'm on vacation, but when I come back, I'm going to change the battery and hopefully thats the solution!!!

okay here's my problem.....I'll go to class, right after I park, I was going to start it again when I noticed I parked crooked, but the car wouldnt start! I noticed the lights dont come on either....how could the battery be dead when just a minute ago I was driving around!!!! Anyways, tried to jump start it, didnt work, but then I left it charging for half hour, and miraculously, it started and I went on with my day! That was a month ago! Friday night, I go to the mall and right when I entered the parking, the car just stalled at the stop sign!! I tried to start the car....NOTHING!! It was dead again, no light, no nothing! Again, after charging it with my SUV for about an hour, then it started.....got home. Once at home, I turned it on and off, then again on and off a few times! It started perfectly! 48 hours later (tonight), I decide to take the car to Blockbuster! It started perfectly, and I reach Blockbuster with no problems. I turn off the car and I go inside....I come back, and when I got in, the lights work and everything was fine until I turned the key in the ignition......WOULD NOT START!!! OH and the battery went dead! Lights no longer worked! I dont understand, just a few minutes, it was working, and just as I turn the key, the battery goes dead??? Does this make sense??? The battery always dies whenever I try to start, and its not consistent, its very random!! Can anybody make sense out of what's going on with me car? I finally got it home again just now, but only after charging it with my 470 for over an hour and then I thought it was a lost cause until I said, "I STILL LOVE YOU" and it started ......lol I dont know, but I think my car is alive and has feelings, but can anybody explain the mechanics behind what's ailing my car????? THANK YOU VERY MUCH WITH ANY HELP!!

Well usually that is the case, but I take such good care of this car! Making sure everything is done on it and done by somebody respected in the field, not some cheap shop! I have gotten compliments on how new it looks, and they are always shocked when I tell them its 15 years old, it looks as if its 3-4 years old! Many times a problem is caused because of neglect or lack of maintenance as well. B) ←

I been driving my dad's LS 400 ever since I was 15, but when I started college, my dad started driving the car again, and I found out when I got the car back this year, that for the past 3 years he's been putting in regular gas when it asks for premium. He claims his collegues with Mercedes always put regular gas for years, with no problems. I noticed that the car makes a LOT of noises, and recently whenever I turn on the ignition, it would take forever to actually START, sometimes short-circuiting the battery when I turn off the engine, and forget to close a window, so I turn it back on immediately, and it just DIES! So I have to flag somebody down to charge the battery for 5 minutes so I can start it back up again! My first thought was that it could be the battery, but the battery was changed last year, unless its a defective battery? Also I notice white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, most often in the mornings, even when its not cold outside! Also, I noticed couple weeks ago, the fuel gauge would not go all the way to the top, to FULL! I was just wondering, could any of these problems stem from using regular gas??? Oh is the car just falling apart, as older cars tend to do, especially since this car is 15 years old! Please help! I really love this car for the past 15 years (love at first sight), and I want it to last few more!!!
