I just want to Thank You for having this forum. You helped me solve my problem. Sometimes you might think you are the only one with some quirky crazy problem like this and wonder how in the world am I ever going to figure out how to fix this or even just figure out what is causing the problem. It only took about an hour to take it apart, clean it, reassemble, and test drive to get vehicle warm, crank a few times, and DONE! Just wanted to let you know that you have really helped someone. Just found this topic, I am having the same problem with my 97 ES 300, I have the same request as Dexmo, does any have any links, pictures or illustations of what this Idle control Valve looks like and where it is? Thank you.

My 97 ES 300 is hard to start when it is warmed up and has been driven. It always starts fine when cold. Took it to the dealer, and they said it is the Idle Air Control Motor. They said it had to be replaced and couldnt be repaired. Can it be repaired? (I like to tear things apart) Can I buy a Used one, is there a place online that sells them for a reasonable price? They wanted $256 for it and $200 to install. Is this really the problem? Is there anything online that tells where and what the IACM is and how to replace it? Any experience with this and help would be greatly appreciated. Jaspav
