That sounds more like a issue with the cluster. There are afew threads about this.

You may want to look at the stalk again. I dont think the ecu would affect the running lights.
-
Have you got pictures of the lines that you plugged? It might make it a little easier to help you fix it if you post them.
-
Or an animal may have chewed the harness. How was it running before the trip?

Fuel , spark and timing?
-
Might have air in the system. Are there bubbles in the power steerins fluid? Also what kind of fluid does your car take? I know my 91 takes dextron tans fluid for the power steering, not sure about your 97.

Is there a tutorial on rebuilding these accumulator 's?

Troy, it sounds like you may have an ignition issue. Is the check engine light on? If so pull the codes and post them so we can help you.

Hi daffy. I'm having a similar issue. Just the track light is on. One thing I've noticed is after i wash the road grime off the light goes away. As soon as some of this snow melts I gonna check the harness to the abs sensors. Maybe I'll get lucky and its just a damaged wire.

doesn't this model have a separate control module for the fuel pump?
-
Its possible.

check the tubes connecting the maf to the throttle body. make sure they're tight. look for cracks as well. is the IAC receiving a vacume signal? check connections on plug wires and coils also. hate to see this go to scrap.

Somthing else to think about is the cap for the overflow tank. If it isnt allowing the coolant to pressurise it could boil off.
-
Test the resistance of the wire. Hook a spark tester up and see what kind of spark ya get. Is it weak? Also check the wire fore damage. When I bought mine the last owner had routed one of the wires so it was rubbing the timing belt.

I wish you luck with your problem. I was just impressed to hear the mechanic was goin to research the code. Sounds like you found a good one. May your repair be inexpensive.
-
Yes, thats correct.

Maybe one of the shims that keep them from sqeeling is starting to go bad.

I like the look of that brake package on your ls.
-
I've read that the swaying in the wind feeling is probly worn strut bar bushing.
-
How does the steering feel? Does it work? The air in the line can be bled out.
-
Does 700.00 include all of the above parts? If so, very good deal.

Doesn't white smoke mean coolant is leaking into the combustion chamber?
-
I can sympathise.

I would also be interested and a step by step. My valves are startin to get loud. I was thinkin about swapping the heads for a rebuilt set. Might be cheaper...

Make sure your wiring harnesses for crank and cam sensors are not rubbing the accessory belt.
