Hey folks-

My VSC is lit and I'm not sure why. The gas cap is NOT the issue (I tried a brand new one, and that didn't stop it).

What am I in for? Could this turn into a nightmare at the dealership?

Looks like this is a common problem. Does it mean the changer is kaput? (probable) The car is an '04 with 69K miles- so they will not honor warranty. The dealer said a reman changer will be $730 for the part alone. This is upsetting, as i doubt the reman will last that long. An aftermarket installer showed me that changing systems would be expensive and would alter the look of the dash considerably.

I'd appreciate any advice, as it looks like I'm gonna be into this for at least $1,000

I have an 04' RX330. At times, it seems that the car hesitates (revs up a bit much) befor e upshifting. It's not nearly as smooth as my Volvo 960. Is this a characteristic of the car- or is there a problem here?

Here's a thought- My RX doesn't have it. However, I bought Microsoft Streets & trips 2005. The version i bought comes with a GPS that plugs into your laptop. Pretty neat for $130. Of course- yopu will need a laptop & mount in your car (the good ones aren't cheap). If you work from your car- this could be a good option.

Well, I hate to say it- butr there are those times when I get filthy on the job. I wanted something that I could quickly slip over the seat when the going gets dirty. I agree- I love the leather and wouldn't leave it on. BTW- what do you find works best in maintaining the leather?

Hello- I just bought a KILLER '04 RX330 yesterday and am still in limbo. I would like to get seat covers to protect the rich corinthian leather, but note that the makers say I cannot use them on vehicles with side impact bags in the seat. I looked on the side of my seat and did NOT see a blow away plastic panel. Does anyone know if side impact is standard on the 04 330, or an option? any clues on how i can tell? Finally- is there a work around seat cover that may be used with the 330?
